nbsp;Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE) data were collected from three satellites (ERBS, NOAA-9, NOAA-10) carrying two ERBE instruments (Scanner and NonScanner). The objective was to measure global albedo, fluxes, and solar incidence. NOAA-9 and NOAA-10 provide global coverage, and ERBS provides coverage between 67.5 degrees north and south latitude.
Quicktime movies have been created from the "Visualization of ERBE Data" Video. These movies include browse images for Longwave and Shortwave data, and Clear Sky and Cloud Forcing Net Radiation data. In order to view the Quicktime movies, your computer will need to have the latest version of Quicktime (available free of charge) and speakers for the stereo sound track.
NOTE: ERBE Edition 2 NonScanner S-10N wide field-of-view data is available. S-4N and S-4GN data sets are currently being reviewed. Please refer to this page as to when the remaining data will be available. |
